Hoosier Hills Credit Union supports nonprofit organizations, scholarships, athletic programs, community foundations, and local initiatives that strengthen the communities it serves. Through its Community Giving program and Pledge 1% commitment, HHCU invests time, resources, and volunteer support into organizations creating meaningful impact across Central and Southern Indiana.

About the Funder
Hoosier Hills Credit Union is a member-focused financial institution committed to strengthening communities through service, connection, and charitable giving. In 2021, HHCU became the first credit union in the nation to join the global Pledge 1% movement, committing 1% of its net income and 1% of employee time toward volunteerism, local impact projects, and community partnerships.
Since 2021, HHCU has invested more than half a million dollars into local nonprofits, scholarships, athletic programs, and community foundations across Central and Southern Indiana.

Hoosier Hills Credit Union reviews donation and sponsorship requests that create meaningful community impact across its footprint. Support may be considered for charitable, civic, educational, recreational, and community-focused organizations.
HHCU’s giving efforts include:
Donation Requests
HHCU reviews requests from organizations working to create positive impact across the communities it serves.
Sponsorship Requests
Organizations may request sponsorship support for programs, initiatives, or events that align with HHCU’s community giving priorities.
Volunteer Support
Each HHCU team member receives 16 paid volunteer hours annually. Organizations seeking volunteer support may submit a request through the donation request form or contact HHCU by email.
Pay It Forward Scholarship
HHCU awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from every high school in counties where the credit union has a physical location.
Community Foundation Endowments
HHCU team members collectively contribute more than $15,000 annually to community foundations within the credit union’s footprint.

HHCU reserves the right to provide in-kind contributions instead of cash support for organizations that meet its donation policy criteria.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered for donation or sponsorship support, requests must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required.
Organizations must be nonprofit entities with tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Organizations should be charitable, civic, educational, recreational, or receive the majority of their support through outside funding.
Requesting entities must conduct activities in a community, or an adjacent community, where HHCU has a place of business.
Requests are evaluated individually and are subject to available funds.
HHCU considers the following when reviewing requests:
The requesting organization’s source of support
The donation’s overall impact on the community or communities served
The donation’s overall impact on Hoosier Hills Credit Union members
The size or amount of the contribution request
Available funds
Ineligible Requests
Hoosier Hills Credit Union may not consider contributions to:
For-profit organizations
Religious groups
Political organizations or events
Individual teams or smaller sports organizations that do not benefit a large segment of the community
Individuals or organizations seeking funds for personal or individual endeavors
Individuals or small groups that are not representative of the communities HHCU serves or the membership as a whole
Funding Amounts
Hoosier Hills Credit Union does not publish standard donation or sponsorship amounts. Support varies based on request type, community impact, member benefit, amount requested, and availability of funds.

Organizations interested in donation, sponsorship, or volunteer support should submit the Donation/Sponsorship Form on the Hoosier Hills Credit Union Community Giving page. Applicants should be prepared to describe the organization, request amount or type of support needed, community benefit, and alignment with HHCU’s service area and mission.
