In-Kind Donations & Memorabilia Support for South Florida Nonprofits

Through its Social Responsibility efforts, the Miami HEAT supports organizations and events across South Florida through donations of sports memorabilia, in-kind items, staff involvement, and volunteerism.

Nonprofits seeking donated items must follow the HEAT’s formal request guidelines and submit materials well in advance of their event.

About the Program

The NBA’s Miami Heat engages the South Florida community year-round through charitable outreach and event support. Donations are intended to assist nonprofit fundraising events and community initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.

Submission Timeline Requirements

Requests must:

  • Be submitted at least eight (8) weeks prior to the event date
  • Be for an event occurring no more than six (6) months from the date of submission

Late or incomplete requests may not be considered.


Required Application Materials

All request letters must:

  • Be submitted on organization letterhead
  • Include a thorough description of the organization and its mission
  • Provide a detailed description of the planned event (date, time, and location)
  • Include any related promotional materials (if available)
  • Identify the beneficiary organization, including:
    • Physical address
    • Contact name
    • Phone number
    • Email address
  • Provide proof of nonprofit tax-exempt status and valid ID number
  • Include contact information for the individual submitting the request

Additional Guidelines

  • Priority is given to nonprofit organizations located in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties
  • Only one request per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) will be honored for approved organizations or individuals
  • Unsolicited autograph requests will not be accepted
  • The HEAT Group is not responsible for items lost in the mail
