About the Funder
TFed Credit Union has served Taunton and surrounding communities for more than 75 years. The credit union supports local communities through its Community Giving Program, Dress Down Program, and TFed Street Team.
Through its Community Giving Program, TFed provides charitable resources to nonprofit organizations and community events that align with its priority funding areas. The program is designed to ensure TFed’s support is directed toward organizations making a meaningful impact in the communities it serves.
What This Program Supports
TFed’s Community Giving Program focuses on three priority funding areas:
Financial Education, Literacy & Wellness
Programs that provide individuals with essential financial knowledge and skills, including financial education, literacy, and wellness initiatives.
Economic / Community Development & Revitalization
Projects and programs that improve public spaces, strengthen community facilities, and contribute to local development or revitalization.
Youth Development
Programs geared toward developing students through education, mentorship, skills development, and other youth-focused opportunities.

Eligibility & Preferences
Requests must meet the following qualifications:
Align with one or more of TFed’s priority funding areas
Be submitted at least 45 days before the event or deadline
Support a community event or nonprofit organization located within TFed’s service area or field of membership
Include TFed brand recognition for sponsorship requests
Come from an organization that has not already received consideration within the past 12 months
To support as many organizations as possible, TFed will consider only one request per organization during any 12-month period.
Ineligible Requests
TFed will not consider donations to organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, or any other basis prohibited by law.
Because of the high volume of requests received, TFed cannot accommodate every request. Consideration depends on available program funding at the time of submission.
Funding Amounts
TFed does not publish standard award amounts. The program distributes thousands of dollars each year across local cities and towns, with support based on alignment with priority funding areas, available resources, and community impact.
