Within its focus areas, Beacon Bank prioritizes requests that demonstrate strong community benefit and alignment with its charitable goals.
Priority is given to:
Programs and projects that benefit a majority of low- to moderate-income individuals
Programs and projects that offer Beacon Bank employees opportunities to be involved through volunteer efforts, board service, or participation in networking events
Programs and projects with a demonstrated and tangible record of success
Requests that align clearly with one of Beacon Bank’s charitable giving focus areas
In-Kind Donations
Beacon Bank also considers in-kind donations on an individual basis.

Eligibility & Preferences
To be considered for funding, organizations must:
Be recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Be located in or serve a community within Beacon Bank’s geographic service area, including one of the following regions: Berkshire & Capital Region, Boston Region, Hudson Valley Region, Rhode Island Region, Springfield & Hartford Region, or Worcester Region
Apply for a program or project that meets one of Beacon Bank’s focus areas
Submit a completed grant application through Beacon Bank’s online system
Provide any additional documentation requested
Organizations that are not 501(c)(3) nonprofits are not eligible.
Any organization that has received either a charitable grant or bank sponsorship from Beacon Bank during the current calendar year is not eligible for another contribution until the following calendar year.
Ineligible Requests
Beacon Bank does not support the following organizations or requests:
Fraternal, labor, and political organizations
Lobbying groups
Private foundations
Intermediary organizations that raise and distribute funds in their own name
Annual memberships and annual appeals
Underwriting support for conferences or seminars
Individuals
Capital campaigns
Organizations that are not recognized as 501(c)(3) nonprofits
Funding Amounts
Beacon Bank does not publish standard award amounts. Funding decisions are based on available resources, alignment with charitable giving focus areas, community benefit, and other review factors.
