About the Funder
BLBB Charitable is the charitable arm associated with BLBB Advisors. Its grantmaking supports organizations that expand educational opportunity, strengthen leadership development, promote economic self-sufficiency, and connect youth and communities with local environmental education.
BLBB Charitable has three main grant programs: BLBB Advisors Programs, Education & Leadership Impact Grants, and Burke Legacy Grants. The Education & Leadership Impact Grants are the primary open grant pathway for eligible nonprofits serving the Greater Philadelphia region.
What This Program Supports
BLBB Charitable considers Education & Leadership Impact Grant requests for:
- Operating support
- Project support
- Capacity building
- Sustainability and strategic planning
- Program planning and growth
- Leadership or professional development
- Staff training
Funding is focused on the following areas:
College Access & Post-Secondary Opportunities
BLBB Charitable supports programs that help disadvantaged youth and their families navigate the college application process. The funder also supports innovative or alternative post-secondary opportunities, especially for young people who may benefit from pathways beyond the traditional four-year college model.
This area may also include career development, internships, and leadership programs for youth.
Economic Self-Sufficiency
BLBB Charitable supports programs that work deeply with individuals over time to help break the cycle of poverty and build long-term stability. The funder is especially interested in programs that work with family systems and support intergenerational stability.
K-12 Educational Opportunities
BLBB Charitable supports youth development and leadership programs serving middle and high school students. This may include academic enrichment, character development, leadership development, and programs that remove barriers to success for disadvantaged youth.
The funder prefers programs that maintain long-term connections with participants and have the potential to positively change a young person’s life trajectory.
K-12 Independent Schools
BLBB Charitable may support programs that strengthen independent schools and their sustainability in the region. This may include teacher professional development, innovative teaching models, special programs, curricula, or efforts that support students’ educational pathways.
BLBB Charitable does not support public or charter schools.
Local Environmental Education Opportunities
BLBB Charitable supports organizations located in eastern Montgomery County and Bucks County that educate youth and local communities about nature and environmental issues. These programs should increase awareness and understanding of the region’s natural surroundings and environmental challenges.

Why This Opportunity Is a Good Fit
This opportunity is a strong fit for Greater Philadelphia nonprofits that provide sustained, relationship-based programs helping young people and families access education, leadership development, economic opportunity, and long-term stability.
It may be especially relevant for organizations serving Montgomery and Bucks counties, programs supporting disadvantaged youth, organizations focused on family economic mobility, and environmental education groups working in eastern Montgomery County or Bucks County.
Because BLBB Charitable gives preference to work with long-term impact and meaningful participant engagement, applicants should clearly explain how their programs create sustained change rather than one-time support.
