Opportunity Description: The WellMed Charitable Foundation is announcing the availability of grants in the specified areas above. We are implementing a phased approach this year, with phase 1 involving most of Greater Texas, and phase 2 involving the San Antonio, Texas area and the Tampa, Florida area. The phase 2 announcement will occur in August 2025.
Focus Area: Social determinants of health that impact older adults and their caregivers – including economic stability and income support, health and wellness, food insecurity, social isolation, accessible housing, and transportation – will continue to the focus of our grant-making. We will also accept proposals for operating funds. Individual non-profits will be able to apply for a maximum of $25,000, although the maximum amount available in some markets is less as indicated.
Timeframe: Organizations must apply within our online system by 5pm CDT on July 10, 2025. Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee, and determinations made by August 15, 2025. Proposals must be submitted via our grant management system. The link to the system is below:

The deadline for grant proposals is 5 pm CDT on July 10, 2025. WCF awards are based on the quality of the proposals submitted; therefore, the Foundation Board of Directors may elect not to award a grant or to award more than one grant in any given area.
